We welcomed spring with open arms and even with some of the crazy winds we made the most of it. Using sticks that had fallen we painted and beaded them with buttons to create windchime wall Decore. As well as decorating our space with a warm "lead light" sun, clouds and of course the moon too. We have been crafting away creating an indoor and an outdoor fairy garden which real life fairies have visited! Cooking in the morning has been a lovely way to start the day, lasagne, lemonade and scones have all been on the menu. When the winds final died off, we got out for our first taste of garden club. The children did some digging and ribbon weaving through the fence to create some beautiful designs.
Now that spring is here the garden has been opened. we have a lovely veggie patch out the back that unfortunately has been forgotten about. The aim next term will be to have it up and growing, to use the produce in our afternoon teas. Regretfully I am not a green thumb and would love some ideas or assistance, please email or drop in if you could spare some time to volunteer or donate:) I cannot wait to see what the children grow.
