Inquiry/Upcoming Events/5-6 Timetables
Inquiry Overview
This Term in Inquiry, students in Year 5/6 have been learning about Australian Government in our Civics and Citizenship unit. Throughout this unit, students have been learning about the values, principles and institutions that underpin Australia’s democratic forms of government. We have also researched and learnt about the roles and responsibilities of the three levels of government, the key features of the Australian electoral process and the rights, responsibilities and shared values of Australian citizenship.
In the past few weeks students have been working in small groups to make their own political party with a name, a leader, an agenda, a catchy slogan, a logo and present a small speech to their class.
