Principal's Report

Congratulations to all of our students who have been preparing for our Year 4 – 6 Athletics Carnival next week. We can’t wait to watch all of our talented athletes out on the track!
Book week this year is held from the 17th – 23rd August. The theme this year is “Reading is Magic” with this year’s parade to be held at 9:15am on Tuesday 20th August. Book Week is a wonderful opportunity for us to celebrate literature, and foster a love of reading in our students. Be as creative as you can, and we can’t wait to see our wonderful school filled with book characters coming to life and chatter about literature at this event.
A reminder that Monday 26th and Tuesday 27th are scheduled Curriculum Days at FNPS. These two days have been dedicated to the delivery of Professional Development into the implementation of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme for our teachers. TheirCare will be offering supervision for students across these two days – please contact TheirCare directly to make a booking for your child/ren.
A reminder to those parents who have received an invitation that from Monday 5th August, through to Friday 30th August, around 30% of our families have been randomly selected to participate in the 2024 Parent Opinion Survey. For those families who are randomly selected, we hope that you take the time to participate so that we are able to gain an understanding of our community’s views and help us shape decisions for the future. The survey doesn’t take too long to complete and we would really appreciate if you could take the time to provide us with your views.
As you are aware, next Wednesday, 21 August 2024, we will be presenting the 2023 Annual Report to the Community. The session will be held online from 5:30pm – 6:00pm and families can join using the following link:

The Annual Report to the Community provides families with contextualised insight into our school’s annual performance for the preceding year. The Report also allows the school to share further information into the operational decisions that are made to ensure we continue to grow and improve each year.
We very much appreciate our community’s continued support of FNPS and acknowledge our teachers and staff for the wonderful education that is being delivered to your children each and every day.
Go gently,
Tania
