Transitions
For some it may seem like a lifetime ago that you were walking across the basketball court, excited kinder kid in hand, ready to embark on their first transition session. Choosing a school community can be a challenging yet wonderful experience filled with excitement and anticipation. Anticipation for the connections that will be made, the experiences that will be had and the challenges that will be overcome.
Each Wednesday during November the basketball court was buzzing with nervous parents, excited kids and hopeful hearts as our Prep students for 2025 walked in for their very first time as an RNPS student. Over half of these new students come from families that are new to RNPS and we are very excited to be welcoming them into such a wonderfully inclusive, caring and joyful community. A community spirit that you create.
RNPS prides itself on how well this community pulls together not only in times of need but in times of celebration too. Celebration for individuals and for the community at events like the recent working bee and carols coming up next week.
This week has also seen our current students participate in their first transition session. Students spent time in the classrooms that they will inhabit next year, hearing about all the interesting and exciting new experiences they will have together in 2025.
The students, both current and future, have displayed amazing resilience, dedication and joy as they participated in these transitions and we look forward to welcoming the new students and families as they settle into this wonderful community.
