State AFL 9’s Football
Well done to the two teams that competed in the State AFL 9’s Football last Tuesday at Latrobe University. Both teams did very well against some tough competition. Thanks to Mr Rieniets and Ms Tomkins for coaching on the day and to the parents and grandparents who supported the day.
State T-20 Cricket
Well done to the girls who competed in the State T-20 Cricket Championships last Friday at the Harry Trott and Ian Johnson Ovals in St Kilda. The girls had a great day and played some very good cricket. A big thank you to the parents and grandparents who supported the event.
Sports Clothing Reminder
Could all students please return Sacred Heart football jumpers, lycra netball dresses etc, as soon as possible.
St Mary’s Summer Sport
Well done to the staff and students who travelled to St Mary’s to participate in the Winter Sport catch-up. Thanks to St Mary’s Primary School for hosting the event.
Year 5 and 6 Swimming
Our students in Year 5 and 6 will attend swimming lessons at Bluewater for five days starting from Monday 9th December (there will be no swimming on Tuesday 10th December due to Transition Day). Swimming is part of the school curriculum, so it is important that all the students support this program. We do need parents to assist with walking the students to and from Bluewater. Can you indicate on PAM if you can help out?
Parents who are walking with the students, can you please meet classroom teachers at Pound Road gate 40 minutes before the class swimming time.

3. Why is this your favourite sport? Basketball is my favourite sport because it is a team game and you get to catch up with your friends.
4. What is your proudest sporting moment? My proudest sporting moment was when I made it through to Regional Athletics three years in a row.

6. Why do you love playing sports? I love playing sport because it is fun to do during school and after school. Sport is something you can do also on the weekends and it is good to do it with your friends.
