Religious Education 

On Sunday 1st December we entered the season of Advent, a time of waiting. As we continue our journey through Advent we are reminded of the four candles placed within a circular wreath. 

Each week we light a new candle beginning with the candle of Hope (this week). This Sunday we enter the 2nd week of Advent and we light the second candle of Peace. The four candles are symbolic of Hope, Peace, Joy and Love and the wreath symbolises God’s never ending love for us. Go gently as we all journey through a time in which we prepare and wait patiently for Christmas Day to arrive.
