The dictionary defines teamwork as the combined effort of a group to achieve a common goal, but obviously, the dictionary never worked with a team like this, because we defined teamwork in a whole new way.
Firstly, to the phenomenal committee members. From start to finish, every one of you brought something special to the table, whether it was in the planning, the setting up, or making sure everything ran smoothly on the day. Each effort, no matter how big or small, played a crucial part in making the day such a success, and I thank each and every single one of you — your hard work, dedication, and positive attitude have truly shone through. It’s because of this incredible teamwork that we were able to come together and create something amazing. I’m so grateful to have worked with such a fantastic group of people.
Secondly, to the partners and families of our committee members; thank you so much also. For putting up with all of the late night meetings, hundreds of phone calls, tonnes of emails and all the WhatsApp correspondence. Your patience and support in both the lead up, and on the day, show that you have wonderful support and encouragement for your families and their input to our school community.
Last, but certainly not least, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire school community — parents, teachers, and students — for your incredible efforts in making the Carlsruhe Fair such a success. It was a scorching day, but the heat didn’t stop anyone from showing up and supporting our school. There was something so comforting about seeing the community come together in full force. It reminded me just how strong and connected we are as a school family.
From the volunteers to the families who came to enjoy the day, every contribution, big or small, made all the difference. The energy and enthusiasm you all brought — through your actions and support — is what truly made the day so special.
So, again, thank you to each and every one of you. It’s not just the hard work that made this day a success, but the heart that went into it. I feel so lucky and proud to be part of a community that always comes together, and look forward to seeing everyone at the 2026 Fair! (pictures in Principals pg).
