What do students need to bring to school, every day?

• Students need a named broad brimmed hat (this will stay at school).
• Students need a named lunch box and drink bottle. Enough food for a brain food break (fruit and veggie only) snack for recess, and lunch. It is a great idea to include preferred food that feels familiar and is easy to open/manage.

• Spare named underwear in a plastic bag in case of accidents.
• Named school satchel (this will go home every day) 
• Named art smock.  (This will stay at school for Art, can be a purpose-made art smock or an oversized men's long sleeve shirt)
• Named library bag. (This will be used during Libary time, usually once a week)
• All in a named school bag. The bag can have the name on the inside, or an identifiable item (key chain, letter, ribbon, etc) on it. 

Items that are 'special' should stay home, or if they are wanted to show and tell - stay safely on the teacher's desk.

Spartan-Kalinda uniform suppliers

Spartan, our uniform supplier will be running a 'Popfit' session on the next transition session, Friday 22nd November. This will be from 9.30 until 10.30 am

Parents will not be able to buy or order uniforms at the time. Spartan will bring a range of school uniforms in different sizes along with a sizing silhouette to help parents work out sizing if they want to order online. 

Spartan will also have a flyer with shop details, store trading hours and a free shipping promo code. A reminder that you can use the School Saving Bonus at Spartan.

Spartan Christmas dates 

• Final Uniform Delivery 2024 – Week 10 2024  -     9th  - 13th December 2024
• First Uniform Delivery 2025 – Week 1 2025  -    28th– 31st January 2025
• Orders placed during the break for Delivery to School will be held and sent when school reopens on 28th January.
• Orders for home delivery will continue to be processed and sent via Australia Post.  (Except during our Christmas Closure period from 20th December to 6th January)
• All stores will close at 5.00 pm on Friday 20th December and reopen at 9.00 am on Wednesday 8th January.  Please check the website for each store’s hours.
• All stores will be open on Australia Day Public Holiday 27th January 2025

Attendance Matters - from DET

At Kalinda, we use Compass to record attendance. The attendance roll is marked twice a day. If your child is absent from the roll call, they will be marked absent. As a parent, it is your responsibility to enter a reason, otherwise, an unexplained absence will be created. If you need assistance, please contact the office.
