Music Corner

Our band students have been on FIRE for the past few weeks. Our band rehearsals have been kicking goals and those who have been practising have been the reason behind this. Our recent band sessions have focused on band room and performance etiquette. This has required a lot of focus from all band students over a long playing period, and most have achieved this admirably. Not talking immediately after playing is challenging, as is having eyes on the conductor before a piece starts and as it finishes. These things seem so simple in theory but can be tricky in reality.

Most of our music students are focused on preparations for our recital next week, forthcoming busking day this Friday at the Tumbarumba Christmas Markets and our annual Christmas carol lunch concert (for students only) ending our term.

Our recital is this Tuesday the 26th. Students are to arrive by 5:45 pm so they can warm up in the music room and be ready to perform at 6 pm.  Students must wear full summer school uniform and adhere to our appearance policy. We look forward to seeing you there.

Lots of practise should be happening this weekend!
