From the Principal's Desk

Welcome to our penultimate newsletter of the year.

Our senior class has had a very busy two weeks. Our year 5s prepared and delivered their captains’ speeches for 2025. They all did a tremendous job, and I have no doubt that each and every one of them would do a fantastic job leading our school. In fact, regardless of who is given a badge, all of them will play a vital role as leaders of our school next year.

Our 4/5/6 class went on camp to Canberra this past week and visited many sites of importance that they had been learning about in class. I know they have come back tired, but also keen to continue that learning journey. They want to argue more bills into existence and introduce a more ‘democratic’ structure to their classroom. I’m sure Mr Larose will find a way to channel all of this enthusiasm.

Finally, I urge you to look ahead to our upcoming calendar of events. There are a lot of activities coming up, most notably our Presentation Night. Students are able to wear sun-safe casual clothes to school on this day so that their formal summer uniform can remain clean and tidy for Presentation Night. It is on the 4th of December, beginning at 5 pm with Mass. Mass will be followed by a shared sausage sizzle, where families are asked to provide a salad or dessert, and their own crockery and cutlery. Our Presentation Ceremony will commence at around 6:30 pm.

We hope to see as many families as possible, to celebrate the year that was.

God Bless
