Dear Parents / Carers,
As the year comes to an end, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all members of the Rowville Primary School Team. Our teachers, education support staff, office team, canteen and support staff have gone above and beyond to provide a nurturing and engaging learning environment for all students and families in 2024.
We are proud of our school’s ongoing commitment to the wellbeing of our students. Our whole-school approach to mental health and wellbeing through daily circle meetings, Four Rooms of Change, the Perspective Scale and extensive specialist program all play an important role in student wellbeing.
In 2025, our school will be a part of The Mental Health in Primary Schools initiative, and I will lead a small team across our school to identify other ways that we can further support student mental health and wellbeing. We will also be introducing a Music for Wellness initiative to support individual and small groups of students.

This year has flown! It’s a reminder that while the days can be long, the weeks are short and it is important to make the most of every minute. The holiday break provides us with the opportunity to spend time doing lots of the things we love.
I will use the term break for spending quality time with my loved ones and friends, travelling in the caravan, reading novels, people watching and making notes in my writer’s notebook as well as taking time to relax and recharge with a visit to the Peninsula Hot Springs. I will also undertake professional reading in preparation for the 2025 school year.
I encourage all students to continue to read widely over the holiday break and continue to notice and record snippets and wonderings form the world around them.
Lastly, I would like to thank Ms Anne Babich and Mrs Shae White for their ongoing support and leadership.
Wishing you and your family a relaxing and restful summer break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back on Wednesday 29 January 2025 for another year of learning and engagement.
Kind regards,
Tiffany Bamford
