Our Presentation Day assemblies were truly a highlight of the year, showcasing the incredible achievements and talents of our students. It was wonderful to see so many families join us in celebrating the hard work, dedication, and success of our students across a range of areas. The assemblies were a testament to the vibrant and supportive culture of our school, and we are so proud of everyone who participated. Thank you to our staff and students for their efforts in making these events so memorable.

This week, our school came together to celebrate International Day of People with Disability, highlighting the importance of inclusion and diversity in our community. We are incredibly proud of our Inclusive Hub, which plays such a vital role in making Chatswood Public School a place where every student is valued and supported. To mark the occasion, we held a whole-school dance, bringing everyone together in a joyful and united celebration. Thank you Mr Cunningham for organising the event.
As I stand on the school gate each morning, I have noticed that we are having an increasing number of students coming to school late. As we approach the final weeks of the school year, I want to emphasise the importance of regular attendance until the end of term. These weeks are a valuable time for consolidating learning, celebrating achievements, and preparing for the transition to the next school year. Attending school every day helps maintain routines, strengthens connections with peers and teachers, and ensures that students don’t miss out on key learning opportunities or end-of-year activities. We appreciate your support in ensuring that your child remains engaged and makes the most of this important time.
We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to the amazing Chatswood Public School community for your generous contributions towards our students, staff, and parents. A big thank you to the Scripture and Ethics Teachers, as well as the P&C. We are also very thankful to all the parents, caregivers, grandparents, and community members who provide invaluable support to our students every day. It truly takes a village to nurture our students, and we are incredibly fortunate to have such a wonderful village.
It has certainly been a great year at Chatswood Public School!
Celebrating achievements and positive experiences is important for both students and staff.
The NSW Department of Education recommends that gifts to teachers be modest and not exceed a value of $50.
This is to ensure that gifts remain appropriate and do not create any expectations or obligations. It's always a good idea to consider personal gestures or handwritten notes as meaningful alternatives to physical gifts.
Applications are now being accepted for Kindergarten 2025. If your child turns 5 before July 31, 2025 they are eligible to start school next year. We would appreciate local area enrolments submitting their applications as soon as possible.
We offer our support and encourage you to complete your application to enrol online. If, however you do not feel comfortable completing an application online, a paper copy will be available for collection from the front office or you can download from the Department's website.
