STAGE 3 NEWS:
Stage 3 has been very busy with lots of work to finalise for the end of year. Year 6 have spent a lot of time designing and painting the GaGa Pit. The students worked in collaborative groups to complete their artwork and we are very proud of the final result. The GaGa Pit is an excellent addition to the playground and it will be used by many Martin’s Gully students in the future. Thank you Year 6 and many other people who helped to complete the GaGa Pit.
In class, students have been working hard in mathematics and we are working hard on understanding fractions, especially the relationship between fractions, decimals and percentages. In writing, we are in the midst of writing our own humorous eulogies using poetic structures and devices. We can't wait to share these when they are completed. In Science, students finished our unit on ‘Essential Energy’ and constructed and tested wind turbines. Some were more successful than others. Attached are photos of our models.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish all the Year 6’s the best of luck as they head to high school. You will be truly missed and we can’t wait to hear all the amazing things that you all will achieve in the future. You will always be part of the Martin’s Gully family. Thank you Year 6 2024.
