Diocese Cricket
On Friday 22nd November students from McCarthy played in the Armidale Diocese cricket competition against O'Connor Armidale at Rologas Fields Armidale. Congratulations to O'Connor who won both games. In the boys game O'Connor scored 165 with the pick of the bowlers being Cooper Jones who claimed 2-22 and Gert Joubert 2-37, whilst Matt Forst bowled well to secure 1-11. In the batting Sam Thompson, Parker O'Neile and Cooper Jones batted well but we eventually fell short being all out for 118. The girls scored 85 and bowled and fielded well but O'Connor scored the runs for the loss of 6 wickets. A big thank you to Mr Meppem who drove the bus and coached the girls team.
Sport Awards presentation evening
On Tuesday 3rd December our College Sports Awards evening was held in the Rosary College. It was a great evening with an excellent video presentation and award ceremony. Thank you to Steph Halpin for hosting the evening and the administration staff for their support. Congratulations to all our award winners.
