Message from the Principal

St Peter’s School - an empowered faith community to enrich the world.

Dear Families,

Welcome to Week 7 of Term 4!

What a fantastic afternoon we had last Friday! The weather was perfect for a relaxing run or walk around the oval. There were only a few obstacles in the way- including parents and carers who had a lot of fun covering everyone in coloured powder!

While we were all having so much fun, we were also raising money to go towards re-surfacing part of our playground. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this fund raising- it is really appreciated. If you have ordered your gifts online- they will be delivered to school and we will then distribute them.

Thank you to our amazing P&F for organising this fun event! also thankyoiu to Camp Australia and Farahana for the generous donation of icy poles after our run and for the bubble machine.

Maths awards

I urge you to read about our fantastic achievement in the Melbourne University Research and Statistics competition on the 'Yr 5/6 Maths Stars' page. Thank you to Ms Moran and Yr 5 /6 teachers for providing this opportunity for our students. It was great to celebrate with these students at assembly on Monday.

Confirmation

On Sunday we celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation with our Year 6 students. It was a special day as these young adults renewed the baptism promises made for them when they were younger. We look forward to seeing how they now use the gifts of the Holy Spirit to live a life inspired by Jesus.

Thank you to everyone involved in preparing  for this special day-all families, sponsors, teachers (Mrs Devisser, Ms Chamberlain and Mrs Bowen), and Fr Andrew and Bishop Tony who conferred this Sacrament on the day.
