Grade Structure and Staff 2024
Find below the classroom staff line up for 2024. No changes to class teachers have been made over the holidays, however our specialist program has two updates to fill our previous vacancies.
- Daniella Hastas will be teaching Performing Arts on Mondays and Thursdays. She will work closely with Mr. Paul to ensure Performing Arts continues to be highly successful at SMPS.
- Stella Baker-Campbell is joining SMPS. Stella will be taking various subjects as part of a Mixed Specialist role. We look forward to welcoming Stella to our school community.

P.E. will run on the following days for Term 1. This will start from the second week of Term 1.

First Day Arrangements
We understand that the first day of each school year is a milestone that many families cherish. We are therefore warmly welcoming families to join their child on Tuesday morning as they enter the school and find their learning space. This will operate like a Family Friday...but on Tuesday. We will run this for a little longer than usual (until around 9:05am or 9:10am) to allow everyone to find their space.
- Who: All families from Prep to Year 6
- What: A chance to look at the space where your child will be learning for the year and to connect with their teacher
- When: Tuesday 30th January from 8:45am until approximately 9:05am
- Where: Enter via the main gates (Years 1 - 6) and the Ferrars Street door (Prep)
We also know that the start of each school year is an important time to form or strengthen connections between families and school staff. Over the coming weeks we will have a number of events to support these relationships:
- Family Fridays (Years 1 - 6): Starting this Friday. Prep families will be welcome to participate when Prep children begin attending school on Fridays later in the term.
- Parent Information Session (Prep - Year 6): Details will be shared via Compass on Monday
- Getting to Know Your Child Chats (Years 1 - 6): Monday 12th February to Friday 16th February
