Year 6
Meet our wonderful teachers...
Hi! I’m Miss Sarah and I am super excited to be 6A's teacher this year. It will be a wonderful year of great learning and fun. I can't wait to get to know you all.
I grew up in England with my Mum, Dad, two sisters and brother. My parents are both from Ireland. I moved to Australia in 2021.
In my spare time you can see me painting, hanging with friends or exploring Australia.
I have been teaching since 2016.
I love watching musicals at the theatre, my favourite musical is 'Wicked'!
I love to smile. Positivity is my superpower.
I hope you have had a lovely summer. See you soon!
Hello SMPS students and families!
My name is Miss Megan and I will be teaching 6B in 2024. This will be my eighth year in teaching and my sixth year at SMPS. I have taught our future Year 6 students when they were in Year 1 and again in Year 3, so I am really looking forward to spending more time getting to know all the students and their families. There are so many exciting moments to come in 2024!
I grew up in Canada and did not move to Melbourne until 2017. I spent most of my childhood outside with my family, including camping or playing in the snow nearly every weekend and going on long hikes and canoe trips. Before I became a teacher, I worked at a Summer Camp for five years, which explains why I love organising and going on School Camp so much now as a teacher!
Outside of school, I love to spend time outside, read, and make music. I also love cooking, especially making recipes from my Italian heritage. In 2021, I adopted a greyhound named Emmy and I love taking her for walks on the beach.
I am really looking forward to another amazing year at SMPS.
Hello SMPS students and families!
My name is Miss Rebekah, and I will be teaching 6C in 2024. This will be my first year at South Melbourne Primary School, so I am super excited to get to know all the students, their families and the staff.
I grew up in Ireland with my fabulous parents and gorgeous dog. Before moving to Australia, I worked in my old Primary School for four and a half years. It was wonderful to return to the school I grew up in and get the opportunity to teach alongside some of my favourite teachers! Since moving to Australia, I have worked as a relief teacher. It has been a wonderful experience, but I am so excited to have my own class that I can form a bond with and learn lots of new and exciting topics with.
When I am not teaching, I am exploring a new place to walk or run. You might also find me watching a Musical at the theatre or sampling a new café/restaurant.
I am really looking forward to a fantastic year at SMPS!
