Principal's Message

Dear parents, students and families,

Our Market Day has been and gone and I'm sure all the parents deeply involved in the planning, organisation and coordination of the day will be feeling very relieved...... and hopefully very proud! The market basically does three things for our school- it builds connection between families, promotes our school to the wider community and raises funds to support school improvements. I believe it was an outstanding success on all three levels and will be able to let you know how much we raised next week. Thank you to all who supported the event in the lead up, during and the clean up from the day- it was a wonderful day and certainly showed up the fact that many hands make something a whole lot easier.

Community coming together and supporting each other is so important. While in Dubrovnik I attended the Jesuit Church of St Ignatius for the English mass. The officiating priest  approached members of the congregation who were there from all parts of the world to support him with the prayers of the faithful and the readings. All travelers I'm sure, but all with one thing in common- their faith. It was a reflection of people coming together with a shared belief, whether it is supporting their school or celebrating their faith. Reflecting on that, our Parish of St Anne's has a parish based market day on Sunday 3rd December between 9.30am and 1pm. You may like to attend or support the event in some way.

Today we had our first of our Advent liturgies. It is hard to believe we are there already. We will hold one of these each week as we move through this time of becoming prepared for the Christmas celebration.

Tomorrow is our second Orientation session for the 2024 Foundation students. We look forward to them visiting and becoming more familiar with our school. We will see our incoming students again on Tuesday 28th November. They will then have the opportunity to gather as families on Friday 1st December for our annual Teddy Bears' Picnic between 2-3pm.

God bless and have a great weekend.
