St John's Community First Aid Training

St John has developed a range of Community First Aid sessions. Last Friday, a Parent Community First Aid Training session was held in the Hall. The session consisted of 2.5 hours of basic First Aid. The knowledge and skills obtained will enable members of the community to help in an emergency until further assistance has arrived.

Thank you to the PA for organising this for our community.

To our WONDERFUL PA Members...

VERY BIG thank you to all our PA members who have supported us in 2023.  As a school we greatly appreciate all PA members for your hard work, support and significant contributions this year. Thanks also to our fabulous Class Reps who have done an AMAZING job in 2023. In particular, thank you to Elisa Sapuppo (President), Sarah Rush (Vice President), Lucinda Hobson (Secretary), Emma Geor-Lai and Jenni Chittleborough (Treasurers) for all their work and energy as PA Executive members.

We take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank Sarah Rush who will be stepping down from the Vice President role at the end of the year. Thank you for all you have done in the role over the past 4 years Sarah will continue to support the PA and coordinate the annual Men's Lunch.

Congratulations and thank you to Emma Geor-Lai for accepting the Vice President role for 2024.

Sacred Heart Kew is all the richer for having such dedicated and generous parents serving our school in this space.  All your efforts have been greatly appreciated.

Thank you to everyone who bought from and donated to the uniform shop this year. All money raised from the sale of the donated uniform goes straight back to the school.

There won’t be another opening this year, but stay tuned for our first opening in early Term 1, 2024.

Please ensure donated clothes are freshly washed and in good condition. We do not accept socks, shoes or school bags. Donations can be dropped to the office. We aim to open once or twice a term, card payments only (no cash).

Thank you

Sacred Heart Meals Service

What is the meals service:

The Sacred Heart Meals Service is available to all Sacred Heart families that require some practical help in the form of meals at a time of need. This may be due to a very happy occasion such as a new birth in the family, or in more difficult circumstances such as a death or illness in a family.

How does it work:

The Meals Service Coordinators can be contacted by a teacher, class rep, member of the Parents Association, a friend within the school or the family members themselves. The coordinators would then contact the family to chat about what would be helpful (e.g. how often, favourite meals, dietary requirements etc) and then coordinate the service, requesting assistance from the relevant year level.

It’s important to note that we are very careful in being discreet at all times and maintaining confidentiality, ensuring the family are happy with what information (if any) is passed on to those we are asking to assist.
