The Principal Team

Our magical Prep Concert.

It was great to see so many families come and enjoy yesterday's wonderful Prep concert.

So much work and energy went into every performance, including the special Japanese drumming. The Prep students also performed with their Year 6 buddies a song from "Matilda the Musical". This certainly brought a tear to everyone’s eyes. It was also incredible to hear Preps singing in Japanese after only one year learning the language.

A very big thanks to all the Prep presenters who spoke so well, introducing the performances, and to the Prep Teachers, Gall Sensei and Mrs Rothberg, for making this concert such a highlight for our Prep students and families.

Celebrating your child's learning.

Before we finish for the year we would love you to join us in our classrooms to reflect on the learning of your child and their class. We welcome all parents and carers for an open session to celebrate the students’ learning and achievements for the year. You will be joining your child in their classroom, where they will showcase an aspect of their work from this semester.

You will have received a Compass message with details of these sessions taking place in the week commencing December 11th. We look forward to celebrating a fantastic year of learning with you and your children!

Our calendar for 2024 will be released at the very end of this term and include a parent conference with your child's new teacher early in February 2024.

Getting Ready for 2024

Over the next week or so we are meeting regularly to set up new classes for 2024. We appreciate the input parents and carers have provided to this process, which can be quite a challenge logistically. In the second last week of term we will be ready to go with ensuring students are made comfortable "stepping up" to their new year levels.

In that week we have two events to facilitate this.

Session 1: Monday 11th December, 2:15pm-3:15pm. For this session, students will experience learning of their 2024 level. Note: this is with current teachers in that level.

Session 2: Thursday 14th December, 2:00pm – 3:00pm. This will be our ‘Meet the Teacher’ session where we will move to our 2024 levels/ classrooms and meet new teachers of 2024.

Our Building Fund: Your support is appreciated

We are currently focusing on building up our Building Fund with the goal of getting a new hall in conjunction with the Department.  Having funds to go towards this project is imperative to getting improvements that we want as a school that will not be provided by the Department.

A tax-deductible contribution to support renovations, upgrades, and maintenance of school infrastructure Eg: $50, $100/$200 any amount is gratefully accepted

Curriculum Contributions reminder 2023:  If you have not paid your 2023 Contributions, you can still pay at the office or via  the QKR! App.  If you are unsure if you have paid, you can check QKR for receipt or call at the office and we can check for you.

Will you be at Beaumaris Primary next year?

We are working towards establishing staffing for 2024 and determining student numbers is essential. Our numbers at Beaumaris Primary remain strong, but if you are aware your child or children won't be with us next year, it would be very helpful if you could let our office admin team know as soon as possible. Thank you.

Have a great weekend, everyone.
