Dear Parents,
At St Mary’s, we strive to ensure our students are equipped with the necessary skills to be motivated to learn, master new skills and apply their learning in an inspiring and agentic way.
We have seen many examples of this last week in our school.
Congratulations to our senior students on their excellent performance and participation in the Triathlon. It was such a positive day where students put their skills to the test, competing against all the schools in the District. Thank you to Emily Reed for organising the team and staff who assisted on the day.
A special congratulations to Maddy and Gus who participated in the individual triathlon. This is an outstanding achievement.
Congratulations to our Prep class for showing us their work at assembly. The pattern work was amazing and we are so proud of our youngest students and all they have achieved this year.
We continue with our upcoming preparation and transition program. This is such an important time of the year, ensuring every child is ready to step up to the next stage of their journey. This process is scaffolded so that every child is prepared. We do this by bringing hope and optimism that the next part of the journey is going to be exciting and they are prepared and capable of moving forward.
As we head into the last few weeks of school, we have many activities organised to ensure every student has a positive finish to the 2023 school year. Activities such as swimming, beach days, triathlons, a colour run and Christmas craft provide many opportunities for children to flourish.
Please support our upcoming Christmas celebration on December 1st. Invite everyone in our community to come along and join in.
Finally, we have our annual St Vincent de Paul Christmas hamper appeal. We ask that all families support this most important appeal where we work to ensure we always have a lens on the poor and vulnerable in our community.
Yours in Partnership,
Gab
