Senior Leadership Appointments for 2024

As we approach the conclusion of the 2023 school year, I take this opportunity to provide a communal update regarding the following key senior leadership appointments in our school for the commencement of 2024. 

 

Deputy Principal – Head of Secondary School

I am delighted to announce that Mr David Frazer has been appointed as the Deputy Principal – Head of Secondary School.  David will commence this Senior Executive leadership position in our school in January 2024. 

David currently works at Yarra Valley Grammar, a large, co-educational Anglican ELC-12 independent school located in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne where he is the Head of the Research Centre, a role that he has assumed since 2021. 

David has taught and held a diverse selection of senior leadership positions across the independent sector for over 15 years and brings with him a wealth of experience in roles spanning Head of Faculty: Health & Physical Education, Year Level Co-ordination across multiple year levels from Year 7 to 12 and leadership of Yarra Valley Grammar’s Larkin Campus (Yr. 9 Centre) where he was the Campus Leader from 2013 to 2016.

David’s diversity of experience in leading high-performance learning cultures, wellbeing and pastoral care programs, and academic programs made him a very strong fit for the Deputy Principal – Head of Secondary School role.

 

Director of Teaching & Learning (K-12)

I am also most pleased to announce that Mrs Brooke Barber has been appointed as the Director of Teaching & Learning (K-12). 

Brooke will commence this new Senior Executive leadership position in our school in January 2024. 

Brooke is a highly knowledgeable, dedicated, and dynamic leader of people and leader of learning with a proven track record of leading curriculum innovation, delivering high-quality teacher professional learning and driving evidence-based improvement. She is an exemplary classroom teacher and has led a culture of academic excellence across our school in her role as Stage 3 Co-ordinator, and more recently in her capacity as Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Leader – Primary.

As Director of Teaching & Learning (K-12), Brooke will have strategic oversight of our Academic Learning Program and will work closely with the Primary Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Leader, the Head of Teaching & Learning Secondary and their respective teams.

Under Brooke’s leadership we will continue to drive educational innovation, elevate teaching practices, and lift student learning outcomes across the K-12 curriculum.

 

Associate to the Principal / Head of Staff

Kathleen Kemp has been appointed to a new senior leadership position in our school - the Associate to the Principal / Head of Staff. 

I take this opportunity to sincerely thank and duly acknowledge Kathleen’s significant contribution to the life and day to day operation of our school during her 6 years of service to our school community in the capacity of Deputy Principal.

Kathleen’s leadership at Moama Anglican Grammar has been a constant and this will continue through her new senior leadership position, which commences in January 2024.

 

Head of Student Experience – Co-Curricular Programs (K-12)

Greg Cadd has been appointed to the new and significantly amplified Head of Student Experience – Co-Curricular Programs (K-12) senior leadership position. 

On behalf of our school community, I extend my gratitude and sincere appreciation to Greg for his leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the lives of our secondary students, families, and staff during two years of service in his capacity as the Head of Secondary.

Greg will commence 2024 as the Head of Student Experience - Co-Curricular Programs and his strong leadership contribution to our school community will continue during a most exciting stage of strategic development. 

A key priority of the Head of Student Experience - Co-Curricular Programs role is to lead the strategic growth and development of the K-12 Sport Program and the amplification of talent development pathways. This is a strategic priority for 2024.

Greg will continue his role as Secondary Timetabler.

 

Head of Student Experience – Extra-Curricular Music Program (K-12)

Fiona Gibbs has been appointed to the significantly amplified Head of Student

Experience – Extra-Curricular Music Program (K-12) senior leadership position. Over the past decade Fiona has held various positions of responsibility in the Music Department, including her current role as Extra-Curricular Co-ordinator. She brings extensive knowledge and expertise and provides dynamic, innovative, and strategic leadership of our Extra-Curricular Music Program and the Primary Classroom Music Curriculum.

A key priority of the Head of Student Experience - Extra-Curricular Music Program role is to lead the strategic growth and development of the K-12 Music Program and the amplification of talent development pathways. This is a strategic priority for 2024.
