Acting Principal’s Message
Mrs Kathlene Fenton
Dear Parents and Carers,
Can you believe that this is the last week of the school year for 2023. It is with sadness that I write my last Acting Principal’s message. I have loved being part of this school community over the past eight years and I am so appreciative of the support and kindness that I have received from the school and local community in my time at Sacred Heart. This is truly a special school and it will forever hold a special place in my heart.
Sacred Heart Staffing for 2024
It is with great pleasure that I announce that Mrs Claire Ryan has accepted the position of Principal at Sacred Heart School Boggabri for the 2024 school year. Claire has 20 years experience in Catholic Education including the role of Subject Matter Expert in Literacy. We welcome Claire and we know she will be a great asset to our school.
You will continue to see Mrs Katie Goddard's smiling face around Sacred Heart as she takes on the role of Leader Of Pedagogy (LOP). We congratulate Mrs Goddard on taking on this new position. Mrs Goddard will also be continuing as the MaST coordinator at Sacred Heart in 2024. As part of these roles, Mrs Goddard will work across all classroom spaces next year.
I am also excited to announce that Tara Langfield will also be joining the team at Sacred Heart in 2024. You may remember Tara as she has worked at our school previously. In 2022 Tara worked at St Joseph’s, Wee Waa and this year she has been on Stage 2 at St Francis Xaviers in Narrabri. We look forward to Tara’s return in 2024.
It is with sadness that we farewell two of our amazing teachers Mrs Cheryl Fenton and Miss Tahlia Morrissey at the end of this year. Mrs Cheryl Fenton has worked in the Yr 3-6 space this year and the students have loved doing Christmas art with her this term. Miss Tahlia Morrissey came to Sacred Heart in 2022 where she has worked in the K-2 space for the last two years. In her time at Sacred Heart, Tahlia has planned and run our Small Schools Speech Day’s, she has been instrumental in our Eisteddfod performances and she has been a huge part of our school life both in and outside of the school. We wish both Mrs Fenton and Miss Morrissey the best of luck in their future endeavors.
