The Early Years

Dear Early Years Community,

As we approach the end of a remarkable year, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey that started for me at Salvado Catholic College at the beginning of this year, and I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for your ongoing support as parents and caregivers.

This year has been filled with milestones and achievements that have shaped the Early Years @ Salvado Cathgolic College. A big Congratulations go to all our award winners for the 2023 school year.

In the spirit of growth and evolution, we will be introducing some exciting initiatives in 2024, aimed at fostering consistency, collaboration and learning.

In this season of reflection and celebration, I wish you and your loved ones joy, peace, and fulfillment. May the coming year bring you new adventures, exciting challenges, and abundant opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Here's to a fantastic end of the year and an even more promising future!

Warm regards,

Mrs Lisa Ripley

Early Years Kitchen Capers

The Early Years kitchen has been getting a workout! Here's Pre-Kindy Red making some delicious White Christmas. This is our nut-free and child-friendly recipe if you would like to try it at home!

1. Prepare a double boiler/mixing bowl over a pot of boiling water.

2. Melt together:

    • 25g copha (= 1/4 block)

    • 270g white chocolate (= 1 ½ Milky Bar family blocks)

3. Add:

    • 80g chopped raspberry lollies (= 1/2 of an Allens bag)

    • 1 cup mini marshmallows

    • 1 cup shredded coconut

    • 2 cups rice bubbles

3. Mix together until evenly coated.

4. Divide between 12 patty pans.

5. Cover with cling film and set in the fridge for at least 1 hour.

And here is Kindy Grey cooking up some Christmas chocolate balls this week! Delicious!
