Australian/State Honours Ensemble Program

On the last weekend of the holidays, some of our dedicated musicians took part in the Australian/State Honours Ensemble Program, an educational program for music students that helps extend and encourage their pursuit of musical excellence.

 

Congratulations to Allegra Pollack and Reese Taylor who performed in the Australian Honours Ensemble Program, and to Kelsi Darben, Finlee Edge, Hannah Green, Meghan Guthrie-Quinn, Bella Harris, Poppy Ho, Georgia Johnston, DoHee Lee and Yan Kiu (Tiffany) Lee who performed in the State Honours Ensemble Program.

LUX 23 Exhibition - Friday 10 November

We are counting down to LUX 23, which will feature the Visual Art Graduate Showcase: LUX  Libertas – Light and Liberty!  

 

Along with our Visual Art showcase, it will also be an evening of live drama, dance and music performances. It promises to be a great celebration of all things Creative Arts!

2024 Musical

Musical rehearsals continue this Term as follows: 

  • Tuesday afternoons 3:15pm - 5:00pm – all cast members
  • Thursday morning 7:00am - 8:00am – Dance Troupe
  • Friday afternoons 3:15pm - 5:00pm – select scenes.

We are excited that Opera Queensland cast members will be workshopping our chorus scenes next Tuesday 10 October. This is an initiative which is part of our professional partnership and we are thrilled that our students get to experience this.

Dance

Dance Troupe are back rehearsing with Premier Dance’s – Emma Whitefield – to prepare for the College Musical 2024. We are also choreographing a Christmas routine, which will be featured at this year’s Carols Service on Tuesday 28 November. 

 

Irish Dance lessons commence next Wednesday 10 October, and Primary students are welcome to join us.
