Please keep a lookout for these in your cupboards, school bags, dirty clothes baskets, even under beds. We are still missing a considerable amount of shirts which will be required to be handed out for Gala Day.
GALA DAY
Netball
Event Date: Friday 15th September, 2023
Time: ARRIVE at 8:45am, estimated finish time of 2:00pm
Event Venues: Sports Dome Netball Complex, Jack Smyth Drive, Tamworth
Equipment & Uniform: Students are to wear their full school Netball uniform. Students are advised to bring sunscreen and a hat to wear at the trials. Please remember to bring adequate water for the day. If you are unable to borrow a uniform, Mrs Gippel has given your child a St Edward's representative shirt to play in.
Catering at the venue: There will be canteen facilities available.
Teams: Due to unforeseen circumstances there have been some changes made to the Coaches. Thank you for your understanding.

Soccer

HELP: If you own goalkeeper gear or a goalkeeper shirt, can you please label them clearly and bring them tomorrow for our teams to use. Unfortunately we don’t own enough for all of our teams. Thank you in advance.

Netball Party

Hockey
Last Saturday saw a number of students participate in their Hockey Grand Finals. Congratulations to the following students:
Ashton, Nathan, Oliver and Araya competed in the U11 Grand Final for South United Hockey Club. The boys all played amazing games and fought hard ending the game 6-6, even after extra time, sadly they dropped to Runner Up as it went down to overall points throughout the season. Congratulations to all the boys in the South’s U11 team.
Sienna, Ava, Millie and Ellie played in their Grand Final of Hockey for South's United and won with a score of 6-1! Their team was undefeated all season.
Gabby won Junior Umpire of the Year at the Tamworth Hockey Grand Final Day.

Basketball 2023 Summer Comp (2nd Comp)
Just a few things to keep in mind from Tamworth Basketball:
- No Zone Defence is to be played in the Primary Competition.
- Teams who attain a 30-point lead during a game must retire to halfway after scoring further goals. Teams who attain a 50-point lead during a game must retire to their 3-point line in their half after scoring further goals. (All Game Rules can be found on each score bench for further details).
- If a player is missing from the team list on the tablet, please don’t add them. Please let the Court Supervisors know so that the issue can be resolved.
- Each team is to provide one person for scoring. This is an easy job and Court Supervisors and Referees are more than happy to help with learning the ropes. We have also provided information sheets on all benches to help with the operating of the clocks and tablets.

The Armidale Diocesan Primary Sports Council is a body representative of the Catholic Education Office, Principals and Sports Coordinators from all Diocesan Primary Schools. The ADPSC offers a pathway for Armidale Diocesan students in most sports.
