Community Partnerships Update

Each Monday we have a student representative from each class go to Rushworth Community House to help with the 10am craft group.

This craft group is open to everyone. We encourage any family member that is interested in crafts and are available at 10am on a Monday to participate in this opportunity. We have also been informed that young children are able to accompany you.

Likewise, if you know of anyone who is interested in crafts, please let them know of this session.

Small groups of F-2 students have also started to go to the Hostel on Tuesday mornings with Jennie. They have been visiting the residents, talking, reading stories, and helping with cooking.

PAT-M and PAT-R

During the month of October, all students will again be completing the Progressive Achievement Test (PAT) in Mathematics and Reading. Students will be participating in the linear version of the test this month. This involves the classroom teachers making educated decisions about each student's ability to assign them an appropriate test.

PAT will be used to inform the teachers of each student's individual skills and knowledge in the areas of Maths and Reading. This will give the teachers valuable data to inform classroom teaching and ensure that we are extending and supporting each student. We will also be using this data to compare growth from October, 2022 and May, 2023.

PAT is a low stress assessment and we encourage students to do the best that they can.
