VOCABULARY

Literal questions: exactly what it seems to be. Can find the answer in the text.

Inferential questions: not specifically stated or explained.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Ask your child to think of a question when they are reading and determine if it is a literal or an inferential question. When they have determined that, students answer their questions ensuring they use evidence.
