Start Up Strings begin individual lessons

Our Start Up Strings students began their individual lessons this term and it has been wonderful seeing the young string players bounding to their lessons. In the IPS String Program, Start Up Strings have 2 group classes per week for Terms 1-3.

In Term 4, they move to having one group class per week and one individual lesson per week. This gives them the opportunity to have both fun, social music making experiences as well as individual guidance tailored to their needs and interests.

This is what some students have said about their new individual lessons:

It’s good to be in my individual lesson because I can hear myself play and I know what mistakes I’m making.

Maya 2N

We learn how to do stuff by ourselves [and it’s good] forcing yourself to try harder.

Lilou 2M

There’s less stress because there’s just you and the teacher.

Johanna 2M

There’s more time to practise.
