School Arrivals

To avoid disruptions to student’s learning could you please ensure your child is at school on time. The school gates open each morning at 8.25am.

Religious Education

This term, students will explore The Holy Rosary. They will become familiar with the mysteries reflected upon as part of praying the Rosary. As part of this, students will revisit the Apostles Creed. The students will explore the important season of Advent. They will consider the meaning of the Advent season and how this season is celebrated in the Catholic Church.

Literacy

Reading

The students will continue their novel studies and work on the skill of comparing and contrasting a variety of texts

 

Writing 

Students will be continuing on with debating (including participating in a class debating competition!) and beginning poetry

 

Speaking

Students will have plenty of opportunities to contribute their ideas and thoughts to the class through class discussions and presentations.

Mathematics

This term, in Mathematics the students will again revise the four processes and the order of operations. They will interpret and use timetables and measure, calculate and compare elapsed time. The students will investigate combinations of transformations and explore simple prisms and pyramids.

Coding

This term students will participate in a weekly coding lesson with Miss Tam. Students will continue to develop their skills using various technological devices eg: spheros, chromebooks, ozobots etc.

Inquiry

In Inquiry, students will be planning and preparing their stalls and products for the upcoming Charity Fete. They will explore their teamwork skills as they work on developing their products and will have the opportunity to use their creativity and imagination when doing so. Students will be raising money for St Vincent De Paul and Caritas. Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks!
