Advent
This term, students will learn that Advent is a time of waiting and hoping. They will explore the experience of waiting as the Church prepares to celebrate the birth of Christ.

In writing students will participate in a variety of activities to meet their needs including:
- Information Reports - Biography
- Poetry
- Literature based writing activities related to our inquiry topic and literature read during class time
- Using a range of punctuation in their writing
- Weekly spelling blend activities and games
Speaking and listening
Students will be working on their speaking and listening skills through oral presentations, Prayer of the Air and classroom discussions. They will further develop:

Economics and Business: Shark Tank
In this unit, students will learn about the needs and wants in their lives, school and community. They will explore types of resources and the economic process used to make products. Based on the ‘Shark Tank’ TV show, students will create or innovate a product which will be assessed on their plan, creativity and advertisement.
