Ulverstone Primary Student Leaders

Earlier this term, we had pancake day for Shrove Tuesday in preparation for the season of Lent. We did this in a kid-friendly way to share nice food at school! We served pancakes to all the students in the Primary school and helped them with toppings of butter, jam, syrup, and lemon and sugar. It was hot and deliciously amazing.

Throughout this term, we have had a few assemblies and Worship Wednesdays. At assembly we read prayers, gave out certificates and shared notices and events. At the Easter Service this week, we prayed with the Burnie and Ulverstone students all together. Worship Wednesday is a wonderful way that we can come together and worship God as children all together. Parents are welcome to join in with Worship Wednesday most Wednesday mornings in the MPH at 8.45am.

We have a wide variety of Personalised Interest Groups that have been running on Friday afternoons. We call these PIGs. We have been helping with Cricket and teaching little kids how to bowl and bat… sort of!

One of the highlights for us in Year 5/6 is having the Year 9/10 Introduction to Christian Ministries students coming into our class and sharing the word of God with us. They’ve been running devotions every Monday morning for us.

Next term, we want to run more events and activities, so please watch this space for upcoming events and fun things to get involved with!
