As we approach the Easter weekend, I am reminded of the profound message of hope and possibility that this occasion brings.

Easter is not just a celebration of chocolate eggs or a symbol of new beginnings; it is a powerful reminder of the miraculous and transformative power of Jesus. At our Easter Service this week, Pastor Peter Shurley from Life Christian Church reminded us that God can make the impossible possible. Our God is a God of miracles. Easter represents the triumph of light over darkness, life over death, and hope over despair. It reminds us that even in the face of seemingly insurmountable challenges, miracles can happen, and the impossible can become possible through faith in Jesus.

During the service, some of our students entertained us with a play about Dave the Donkey. In this epic Easter tale of power, courage, death and resurrection, Dave shared his excitement over carrying the King into Jerusalem with his Grandpa who had just returned. Grandpa told him of the King’s death on the cross, and then of his resurrection. The stone was rolled away to reveal an empty tomb and a promise of new life. Indeed, the impossible was made possible.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the foundation of our Christian faith. When Jesus rose from the dead, He confirmed His identity as the Son of God and His work of atonement, redemption, reconciliation, and salvation. This Easter, I encourage each of you to reflect on the blessings in your life, the Easter story, and to believe in the potential for miracles.

May this season fill your hearts with hope, joy, and the certainty that all things are possible for God.

Wishing you a blessed and joyous Easter.
