IWD #InspireInclusion

Inspire Inclusion

Students, staff, and parents/guardians were asked to get involved this International Women’s Day. As a school we shared the inspire inclusion symbol, celebrating diversity and empowerment in all aspects of society. International Women's Day is a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. Each year, this day serves as a powerful reminder of the progress made towards gender equality and highlights the work that still needs to be done.

How does inclusion play a role in gender equality?

It calls for action to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and create environments where all women are valued and respected.

At the IWD assembly all students showed their support to #InspireInclusion

UN Women Australia’s 2024 Theme is Count Her In: Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress.

Women’s economic empowerment is central to a gender equal world. Count Her In examines the pathways to greater economic inclusion for women and girls everywhere. Equal access to education, employment pathways, financial services and literacy will pave the way for a gender equal world. We must ensure women and girls are given equal opportunity to build their capabilities and strengthen their capacity to learn, earn and lead.

At MGSC it was great to see our students, staff and parents jump at a chance to hold up a pledge and create the #inspireinclusion simple. Everyone everywhere can build on IWD's century-plus history to help forge positive change for women and girls. Collectively, let's #InspireInclusion for women and girls everywhere.
