What's Happening In Secondary

News and Information from Secondary

Term One Reflection: Year 7

What an incredible transition our Year 7s have made this year, leaving the familiarities of primary school behind and embracing all that Secondary has to offer!

The Year 7s have adapted to DCS Secondary routines and our ways of learning. They are making connections with our Year 8 students, particularly in our Design and Options classes.

Mrs Richards, Year 7 Core teacher

Last week saw our inaugural DCS Secondary Athletics Carnival, where records were set, friendships strengthened and a lot of fun was had! With such a variety of new experiences and a fast-paced environment including: options classes, design projects, camp, the Gathering, different classrooms for different subjects, new classmates and a lot of teachers, our Year 7 students have embraced 2024 head-on and are thriving as high schoolers. Bring on Term Two!

Casual Clothes Day

On Friday 12th April, our students will be having an end-of-term casual clothes day. Students in both Primary and Secondary are invited to wear casual clothes, with money raised going to World Vision. Please ensure that casual clothes are appropriate with fully enclosed shoes to provide protection. Cost is a gold coin donation.
