Introducing the Friend Seat! 

Families had a great time on Saturday, enjoying the sunshine during the Term 1 working bee.  Thank you to everyone who attended.  It was great to see some new faces.  Between morning tea and lunch we got our hands dirty and enjoyed having chat. 

A major project completed on the weekend was construction of the Friend Seat! Late last year a group of students set up a fundraising campaign for the construction of a "friend seat".

The idea is that if you are lonely or would like to make a new friend, you sit on the seat, then if you see someone sitting of the seat, you can go up to them and ask them to join in your game or just sit together.

Students who participated in the fundraiser get to organise the painting. Well done to friends of Lola, Bobby, Olivia and Pearl who initiated this lovely idea for the whole school. 

Early in Term 2 the School will have 2 friends seats - another is being finished off by Oscar's family, and we will be able to place this in another location around the school - most likely in the woodlands, if you have a location in mind, please let one of our Enviro Science leaders know.
