Winter Magic Market in Spring Time! 

Thanks to our school community for completing the recent survey which showed a strong level of support for the BNWPS annual fete. This is a major event for our school community. The event not only raises much needed funds for resources not funded by the VSBA/Department of Education, it is a time to gather with friends, meet new people and show case our unique BNWPS community spirit.

The last two years – inclement weather has not been on our side which has likely been the result of lower than average numbers of people attending our winter magic market. So this year, our School council has endorsed the 26th October 2024 for this years school fete. 

From the google sheet completed by our school community, a planning community was established and we met last week to discuss opportunities for this major school fundraising event.  

We discussed: 

• Opportunity for a new name for the event that reflects our warm school community coming together in Spring time. 
• Ideas for attracting attendees from outside our school community
• Ideas for supporting our local school talent (and their families) such as for music performances or other specialist subject links. 
• Analysing which stalls and activities from previous years are 'keepers' based on effort and reward. 
• Improved communication with the school community on the importance of the annual event as the schools highest fundraising activity.
• Planning committee meetings will occur fortnightly with updates in the following weeks newsletter
