Last week we had a special focus on Harmony week here at OSHC. The children traced their hands and then coloured them in with flags, colours and small drawings to symbolise their cultural identity.

As we drew, we chatted about what Harmony week is and why it is important.

One child expressed how lucky we are to live in Australia because we have access to so many different kinds of dishes from all over the world.

The harmony poster is now hanging up in the middle room of OSHC.

 

IMPORTANT:

  • Last Day of Term 2: early dismissal at 2:30pm

OSCH will operate from 2:30pm until 6pm – Fee applies. Cost: $35 (before CCS)

  • Good Friday: Public Holiday

All bookings will be deleted and there will be no charge for all the bookings on this day

  • Meet & Greet Event – Thursday May 2nd from 4:30pm 

Join us for a snag or two at our next OSHC Meet & Greet BBQ. Meet our educators, get a peek into our service and chat with other BNWPS families. This event is open to everyone in our school community. Vegetarian option available, no RSVP required.

 Term 2 – OSHC will be operating from Monday April the 15th from 7-9am and 3:30-6pm

 

QIP (Quality Improvement Plan):

As we are working to establish our first School Holiday Program (SHP), it is important that our focus on the QIP, this year, is on Quality Area 7 – Leadership, in particular in Governance and Management Systems.

We have set up two crucial actions to establish our SHP:

  1. to identify senior educators who will happily step up into the leadership roles as coordinator/s and assistant coordinator/s for the SHP.
  2. draft specific job descriptions to cover the role and responsibilities of senior educators during school holidays program.

The roles and job descriptions may vary after the first SHP to adjust the needs of the program and staff. This means job descriptions will be reviewed throughout the year.

Bookings for School Holiday program are still open to all BNWPS families. Only few days available are left.
