Division Cross Country

On Tuesday 30th May our students competed in the Division Cross Country event at Karkarook Park. It was testing weather conditions and race conditions with some tricky spots on the track, however our students represented our school with great pride. We had 2 students make the top 10 in their race and progress through to the State Cross Country.

9/10 Girls: Tessa D – 1st

12/13 Boys: Oscar G – 3rd

Regional Cross Country

On 14th July Tessa and Oscar made their way to Hastings Foreshore Reserve for the Regional Cross Country. The track was quite flat which made it easier to run on with the rain lightly coming down.

9/10 Girls: Tessa D – 1st

12/13 Boys: Oscar G – 7th

State Cross Country

On Thursday 13th July Tessa and Oscar competed in the State Cross Country at Yarra Glen Racecourse. Both students did their absolute best in their events. Tessa won her 9/10 Girls race and will now compete at the National Cross Country Championships in Canberra on Saturday 26th August. The very best of luck Tessa.

Oscar did an almighty job and came 24th in his 12/13 Boys race.

Amazing effort to both Tessa and Oscar to make it through to each level. Well done from everyone at MPS.
