School News

Attending in 2024

I know we are still in Term Three, but we are starting now to plan for the 2024 school year. We are close to finalising our Prep enrolment for 2024 and another important piece of information we need when planning for a new school year is how many students we will have across the rest of the school. This information is essential when we are planning the number of classes at each level and how much money will be available for staffing, specialist programs, etc.

If you know that your child will not be at Malvern Primary School in 2024, please let Robyn James know in writing as soon as possible (email: robyn.james@education.vic.gov.au). Please do not leave it until Term 4.   We realise that some families find this conversation difficult for a range of reasons, however it will be a huge assistance to us to know as soon as possible.

Pupil Free Day Reminder - Monday 4th September

Monday the 4th September is a pupil free day.  Students do not attend school.  Their Care will provide care on the day.  Teachers will be holding Parent Teacher meetings on this day.

Parent Teacher Meetings

On Monday 4th September (second last Monday of this term) we will be holding our Term Three Parent Teacher meetings.  There will be both in person and online options across the day.

Parents will be invited to book their appointments through COMPASS.  Please watch the newsletter for updates.

Hats at School

School hats are to be worn during all outside activities, by all students and staff, as from the 1st September.  It may be a good idea to start searching for the school hats now so your child has them for the 1st September.  Hats are available from Bob Stewart (uniform provider).

They head off to Darwin (NT ) to compete in the state championship .

Hugo is still a year young for this level and can compete again next year, so an incredible achievement and great representation for Malvern Primary.
