Dear families and friends,

Student Absences

If your child is going to be absent from school please ensure that you create an absence note on the school app 'uEducateUs'. 

Daffodil Day 

The students dressed in yellow on Thursday to raise money for the Cancer Council's Daffodil Day.  Lets hope that Will's message on his t-shirt, comes to fruition in the future. Thank you to everyone who donated.

We raised $93.50.

Maternity leave - Mrs Huf

Mrs Huf will be finishing up at the end of this Term to commence her maternity leave.  We thankfully, have been able to find a replacement teacher and are happy to announce that Mrs (Frau) Barber will be returning to Cavendish PS to teach Music for Term 4.  

School Council 

Our next School Council meeting will be held next Tuesday 5th September at 7pm at the school.  Please advise myself or Tammy if you will be an apology.

Principals Network Meeting

Yesterday, I attended a Hamilton/Portland Schools Network meeting at the Portland Bay School. Items that were discussed were: Wellbeing for Principals, updates and presentation about the new Disability and Inclusion Funding, Community of Practice for Maths & Wellbeing and planning for 2024 school priorities.  These meetings are held twice a term a different schools in our network. 

Parent Survey

The Parent/Caregiver survey will close on Friday 8th September.  If you haven't participated in this yet, it would be very much appreciated if you could spare some time and complete the survey.  Details are in the newsletter.

Parent Consen - Drama Excursion

If you are yet to approve for your child to attend the Drama Excursion into Hamilton & Alexandra College on 11th September, could you please do so at your earliest convenience through the school app.

CFNC - Preliminary Final

Best of luck to the CFNC's A Grade, C Grade, A-Reserve netball teams and the Reserves football this Saturday at Portland.  Two more wins to go!!!
