Badminton:
The division 2 team (Eva Jinto, Ansa Jis, Archer Gemmill and Jesse Heggart) played in the Badminton tournament on 17/8/23. We played 6 games and 1 bye. These are the games we played:
Australian Christian College Benalla (ACC) 2
We had to wait for a while until this team came. They didn’t give much competition, but that was alright. The girls played the team first, then it was the boys
Shepparton Christian College (SCC) 2
This team’s attitude towards the game was very competitive. We noticed how many people encouraged each other while playing against us. We were also very encouraging.
The boys played first, then it was the girls.
Sirius College Shepparton (Sirius) 1
The scores were very close, but we beat them.
The boys were first to play, and the girls were next to play.
Goulburn Valley Grammar School (GVGS)
The games were very intense in this round. When Jesse and Archer played them first, they played against two girls. The girls in the other team were sometimes clashing with each other. But overall, they did good. Eva and Ansa were opposed to two boys. The boys were old students from St Luke’s, Aiden Bijo and Aaron Stino. The boys were smashing it down, making it hard for Ansa and Eva to hit it back to the other side. The girls lost tragically to the boys of GVGS.
St Joseph's Charlton (St Jo’s)
This team won three times in a row in their division 2 team.
The boys played first, the girls played after.
Australian Christian College (ACC) 1
This was the last game we played.
Archer and Jesse played them first. Ansa and Eva played after them. We won against this school too, which also didn’t have much competition.
We had a really exciting game with other schools. Moreover, we had a great time playing badminton just for the fun of it too.

Netball Report
By Julian Moroney (Captain)
The game went well. We played against Bouchier St.PS. Bourchier Street started scoring first and they scored a lot of goals before we did. We had to make some changes because if we did not we would have had a bad loss. So then our team started moving around better to make the ball come to them and then we started scoring a lot more. Annalise was best on the court because she moved the ball around a lot quicker and she started scoring for us. The final quarter came by and we have to the ball in our goal area if we wanted to win. Then Bouchier St started not scoring as much as they were because we started playing better. The scores did not come back to our team so we did not know who won but it was fun.
