HOLIDAY TIPS
The holidays often provide our students with rich experiences to talk, write and read.
Here are some literacy suggestions:
- draw and write a recount of the event
- write a letter to a friend
- create a brochure of the holiday destination you travelled to
- read environmental print (juniors)
- visit the library and READ - READ - READ!
Mathematics is all around us! Some suggestions below:
- encourage your children to participate in cooking experiences, measuring ingredients.
- plan a family menu and price the items
- practice your counting goal
- play board games and identify strategies to win
Enjoy your family time and have a restful break!
