Dear Families,
On Monday, the junior classes had the exciting opportunity to participate in a karate incursion with All Starts Martial Arts Acedemy. During this special event, they engaged in various fun-filled activities and had the chance to acquire new karate skills.
Prep students are learning to tell apart statements from questions. They're figuring out that statements express ideas, while questions seek information. In class, they practiced by looking at sentences and deciding if each one was a question or a statement.
Year One students have been practicing their sentence-building skills by completing sentence stems using the conjunction 'when.'
In Year Two, students are exploring illustrative transitions and their application in providing evidence to support factual claims. These transitions, such as "specifically" and "for instance," are being examined to demonstrate how they can be used to substantiate statements with concrete examples and specific details.
