Grade 3 - Change Over Time Production

In Grade 3, our History Inquiry focus is ‘Change over time’. To support the students’ learning, we have booked an incursion by an educational company called Drama Toolbox. The students will explore,  through drama and group collaboration, the changing face of Australia over time. The students will be participating in the drama workshop activities on Monday, September 4th.

During the session, students will apply and consolidate some of their learning from Term 3. The students will recreate major Australian historical events from the First Fleet to Federation. Using mime, slow motion, improvisation, props and dialogue, students will also experience the challenges the country faced in building a national identity.

The incursion is linked to several curriculum areas, including Creative and Critical Thinking, Drama, English and History.
