Nature is valuable and we need nature. It provides the building blocks for our survival, such as food, clean air, water, and shelter. Nature also supports our health and wellbeing, and our economy. And while we need nature, nature also needs us.

The Victorian Government is improving household waste and recycling services and facilities to recover more resources than ever before and make more new products from your recycling.
Making more from your recycled glass
Glass recycling is improving across Victoria with the introduction of a new glass only recycling service and a large investment in glass reprocessing facilities.
Keep your recycling loose
Just by putting your recycling in the bin loose and not in bags means it can be collected, sorted and processed more effectively and can be turned into new things like park benches and roads.
