School Success Starts with Attendance

Being at school every day makes a huge difference!

Dear Saltwater Families,

With Term Three coming to an end, we would like to acknowledge all the hard work students and families have put in to improve attendance.

We have had so many fun activities over the course of this Term to enhance student engagement, with things like Book Week, the Book Fair, and this week, our Colour Run!

Here are a few reminders for when we return in Term Four on Monday the 2nd of October.

  • Classrooms are open for continuous entry from 8.20am. It is important that students are in their classrooms at this time to complete their morning routines to set them up for a day filled with learning.
  • Students need to bring to school their wide brimmed hat for Term Four as we head into warmer weather.
  • If your child is absent for any reason please ensure this is communicated via the Xuno app or to your child's classroom teacher.

Now let's see which class has demonstrated the highest attendance this fortnight! Congratulations to the following classes -

Prep A - 96%

1B - 93%

2B, 2E, 2F - 92%

3C, 3D - 95%

3E - 97%

4B - 94%

5D - 96%

6A, 6C, 6F - 91%

7A - 96%

8C - 93%

Congratulations to 3E who won our whole school attendance trophy. 3E will keep hold of the attendance trophy until our next whole school assembly. We are excited to see who will win the attendance trophy next.

Additional congratulations to the following students on 95-100% attendance for the whole Term 3:

Naysha Gandhi - Prep F

Willow Lyon-Howe - 1L

Abdulah Zubair - 2D

Audrey Demoncheaux - 3C

Oregon Reid - 4D

Lora Ma - 5D

James Luca - 6B

Remember that missed school is missed learning. Let's continue working together to keep making these wonderful improvements in our attendance and learning.

Please remember to come back to school on our first day back of Term Four to be a part of something exciting happening within your classrooms!
