Book Week Incursion - Perform Education
As part of Ironside's Book Week celebrations, the Book Week team have organised an exciting incursion by Perform Education. Students in Years 5 and 6 will attend on Thursday 18th September, and students from Prep to Year 4 on Friday 19th September.
They will enjoy Treasure Hunt — an interactive musical adventure that brings to life a selection of the CBCA 2025 Shortlisted Books. There will be three performances, tailored to each phase of learning: Prep–Year 2, Years 3–4, and Years 5–6. The performance explores meaningful themes such as sustainability, connection to the natural world, and the power of storytelling to build understanding across diverse backgrounds.
Consent forms will be distributed via QParents in Week 4, and an invoice for $9.50 will be issued shortly after. If your child will be absent, please advise their classroom teacher.
Interhouse Reading Challenge
The Library Interhouse Reading Challenge starts in Week 6. Can Flinders retain the cup this year? The winning house will be announced at the Week 10 Book Week assembly.
Students can earn a point for their house:
- each time they borrow
- by reading in the library during break times
