Heart to Heart Program

Heart to Heart Exhibition – A Celebration of Creativity and Wellbeing
On Tuesday, 1 July, the Heart to Heart exhibition was held in the Drama Room at St Joseph’s. This marked the third occasion that the program has been hosted at our school, and once again, it proved to be a deeply enriching experience for all involved.
Commencing in Week 2 of this term, students began their journey with a blank canvas. Over the course of nine weeks, under the guidance of Martha and the team from Upper Hunter Youth Services, they created their beautiful artworks. The program uses the power of creativity to foster positive emotional and social development in young people. Through thoughtfully designed activities, the participants were able to acquire new skills and explore methods to enhance their wellbeing.
We are sincerely grateful for the continued partnership with Upper Hunter Youth Services. Their commitment to supporting youth through creative expression has had a profound impact on our students. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Martha, our resident artist, whose calm presence and artistic expertise inspired the girls each week. Her generosity in sharing her talent and passion has been truly appreciated.
Each Tuesday morning became a highlight of the week, not only for the creative sessions but also for the shared morning teas. These gatherings provided a valuable opportunity for the girls to connect, converse, and reflect, all while enjoying a selection of fresh fruit and baked goods. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Andrea and Lee for their consistent efforts in preparing and serving these refreshments.
The feedback from parents and carers has been overwhelmingly positive, and it was heartening to see so many members of our community attend the exhibition to celebrate the students’ achievements. We look forward to welcoming the Heart to Heart program back to St Joseph’s in 2026.
