Scone Community Pantry

Thank you to all our families who contributed to the Scone Community Pantry food drive. On Thursday, we donated 32 baskets of groceries, which were greatly appreciated. It is very heartwarming to think that our community can be called upon at short notice to help out, and the response is overwhelmingly supportive of the people in need. We are very blessed to be a part of such a community.

I must particularly thank one of our School Captains Jackson B who brought the need to our attention and asked if we could help.

A Prayer of Thanks for your Generosity

Dear God,

Thank you for the generous hearts You have placed among us – for those who give freely, not counting the cost, who give their time, gifts, and kindness with joy.

Bless those who give in quiet ways unseen but deeply felt. May their generosity return to them in peace and hope in abundance. Help us to be inspired by their example.

Thank you, Lord, for showing us through others what it means to live with open hands and hearts.

Amen.

MADDNESS Night

Last week, we had the absolute pleasure of witnessing the talents of our students at the MADDNESS Night. The Creative Arts and Technical and Applied Studies faculties displayed their students’ work and performances for the first semester.

The students' talent displayed was remarkable, and the opportunity to shine was memorable. Many very proud family members were in the audience to witness their children’s talents.

A huge thank you to the teachers who assisted, mentored, and coached the students. It was a mammoth event that took many hours of organisation and preparation inside and outside the classroom. Also, thank you to the support team who cooked the BBQ or took other teachers' classes while the event was set up.

Athletics Carnival

Last Friday, we held our annual Athletics Carnival. Yet another opportunity for our students to shine in the sporting fields. Mrs Tilse will announce the champions of the carnival today, so I will not steal her thunder but I would like to thank her for the work she puts into not only this carnival but all sport in the school, along with the rest of the PE faculty, our students are very blessed to have such a dedicated team of teachers.

Heart to Heart

Finally, congratulations to the twelve students who participated in the Heart-to-Heart program. Their beautiful artworks showed great talent and discipline as they created their masterpiece of a vase of flowers. Thank you to Mrs Carr for running the program and inspiring these young ladies.

Congratulations to our Winners

Jackson F who won the attendance raffle this week for his 95%+ attendance rate. Logan M, Bracken S and Harrison M who won the MacKillop Merits and St Joseph Strengths Award raffle.
